Team Mangalore has participated in a number of International Kite Festivals in addition to participating in the State Level Kite Flying Competitions.

Cleethorpes International Kite Festivals, UK 2007:

Team Mangalore Wins the 'Best International Kite' Award in the International Kite Festival held in Cleethorpes UK during June 2007.

UK International Kite Festivals 2005:

Team Mangalore has successfully participated in the two International kite festivals at United Kingdom during last week of August at Portsmouth and at Bristol in the first week of September 2005. Team Mangalore was the only representative from India in these festivals. Glimpses of the Festivals...

  • Team Mangalore won the 'Best Team Display' Award (See Certificate) in Portsmouth.

  • Team Mangalore kites  appeared  on  the  cover  page  of kite Magazine in UK -"THE KITE FLIER" in the July 2005 issue.

  •  It has got wide publicity in many news papers including a Report in BBC on 3.9.2005.

  •  Photos of Team Mangalore kites now appear in many websites of Europe.

Team Mangalore has the distinction of winning  State Championship for 2  years consecutively from 1998,  at the Karnataka State Level Competitions, organised by Tourism Dept. and Karnataka Janapada Parishad.

Team Mangalore made a mark at the International Kite Festival 2002, held at Gujarat ,India, with its 36 footer Kathakali, which has created National record for being the Largest kite in India. Ever since, it has come out with unique masterpieces year after year.

We have participated in International Kite Festivals held at Baroda, Rajkot, Ahmedabad, Surat, Silvasa and Hyderabad, India.

Thanks to the continuous support and sponsorship from ONGC-MRPL, Team Mangalore is successfully fulfilling its objective of spreading Indian culture across the globe.
