The National Record:
Largest Kite in India: The Kite named as Kathakkali
is made in the shape of a Kathakkali Dancer. The Dancers in Kathakkali,
the traditional dance form of Kerala are using colourful costumes
and facial designs for their performance. The face of a Kathakkali
dancer is widely used in India for making artifacts. We used this
theme of colourful dance form for making our kite since the colours
enliven the sky while flying the kite.
The Kite is biggest in India in its class and is a magnificent piece
of art. Moreover we fly this kite at every available opportunity.
The kite can be dismantled after using and can be stored in a compact
bag. The size and other details are given below.
